Also a little bit about myself... Im a Senior Wildlife Science Major, Im in the Corps and set to commission on May 17th 2013 in the US Navy. I just bought my Jeep in May and am looking forward to taking it offroad as long as its on trails where i wont cause any body damage as it is still brand new lol. Other than that i love hunting and fishing and Hiking and pretty much anything outside.

On a side note GO RAVENS PUCK MITTSBURG!!!

Welcome, good to see you out at the first meeting. Jks are great starting point for a rig. Im sure we can find some trails this year that wont have you worried about body damage.

It would most likely make it with a few pulls from another vehicle on the hard parts but I cant guarantee that your body will make it through unharmed. I know Matt V has some wheels and tires he is planning on selling but they are off a tj and they are the wrong bolt pattern for your jk. You could run them with the addition of wheel spacers/adapters that change the pattern from 5x5 to 5x4.5, but they cost more money. I would keep and eye out of Craigslist if your looking to upgrade both your wheels and tires, alot of times people buy the new rubicons (17" aluminum wheels and 255/75-17 bfg mud terrains) and upgrade right away. Sometimes you can find like new sets of take-off wheels and tires for cheap. That would be a nice upgrade to the factory steelies and pizza slices you have now

Here is one set I found http://norfolk.craigslist.org/pts/3220432753.html
Even know the tires are radials and not an off-road tire, the larger size would help compared to the stock ones you currently have.

Yes you can absolutely ride with someone else, I'm sure there will be some open seats, just not sure how many until we get a final count on who all is going this weekend. Yeah some of the places we go have more open trails that would allow you to wheel a little bit with out scratching/denting up your brand new jeep

Im pretty booked up this week, but someone should be able to help you sometime within the next few weeks. Or we can possibly do it at the next meeting and use it as a tech session for everyone
