FYI,

I needed some work done on my driveshaft. Called Rye Valley Gear to have it done as they have done work for me in the past, great work and fair prices. Anyways, they closed their business there. I spoke with Jamie, him and a few of the employees there bought the equipment and the on-hand inventory and opened their own shop in Wytheville(closer too). So its the same guys doing the same work on the same equipment, here is their info:

Virginia Driveline and Differential LLC
100 Black Lick Road
Wytheville, VA 24382
276-227-0299

I just picked up my driveshaft and couldn't be happier. still haven't installed it yet, but the work looks clean. He actually ended up replacing the entire slip spline with a stronger one than stock, said it would outlast the Jeep, and the yolk on it is now a straight 1330 joint where before it was a 1310-1330 conversion joint. I also asked him to rebuild the CV while it was off. When i went to pick it up, he said that joint was fine and didn't need to be rebuilt. Good business ethics and saved me a couple of bucks too.

I definitely recommend them if you need any driveline or differential work!

Yes, we picked it up last week. Got the correct conversion u-joint in and it's still in one piece!

1310 on the shaft to 1330 on the yoke? Didn't realize the Rubicon's were different. Guess it makes sense though.

That is correct Alec, I didn't think of it either until we went to put it on and it didn't fit.

Good to hear!

Yeah, those conversion joints are a pain to try to get from the parts store too. I might have an extra one laying around you can have since my shaft is now 1330 to match the yolk. Ill let you know.

Max got the u-joint from Advanced. Maybe he'll take it as a spare.
