Just looking for some ideas for good tech sessions, I know were are always working at the house but having things to go over at the meetings could be beneficial as well.
Im sure we will do the standard winching safety before our first trip, other ideas i have are, feel free to add to it:
Changing U-Joints
Rolling a Rig (Mr. BADASSEDDIEEEEE!!!!!)

since some persons do not have winches lets use a hi-lift jack for recovery too.
also
- change a u-joint (pull axle shaft)

I could do a quick show and tell on Mig welding and everyone lay a bead or two on scrap.

CB tuning tech session on top of parking garage next meeting? Everyone who has CB's can bring them and we can check SWR, tune/adjust length, and recheck just to get everyone who has never touched their radios in the ballpark. I'd like to compare my built-in SWR meter on one of my radios to my plug-in meter.
I have a meter, if we can convince Grubb to come back and drag Terry along, he has the most equipment and knowledge. Wong has a meter? Anyone else?

I'm planning on being in town Sunday and I can bring my gear if you guys want. Would there be any issue moving the meeting time up a bit? I've got a pretty good little drive back and will be coming off a 16hr shift Saturday to probably work a 16hr shift Monday.

Just a thought I don't know what time your thinking terry but you could just have the tech session before the meeting instead of after like normal then everyone that is interested can show up and learn. Meeting would still be at same time if people are unwilling to move it up.

That'd be good too. I won't know exactly what time I'll be in town until closer to Sunday, but I'll let you all know.

OK, so I'm not working a long day tomorrow, waiting to hear from the guy I'm supposed to pick up some pieces from along the interstate, but I'm still needing to bring Grubb the Q-Jet stuff and get my struts from Wong. I also see that some guys are going to be wheeling at Pott's Sunday.
How many people are still interested in a CB tuning session Sunday? Like I said, still not 100% on times at this point, but I'll try to post as soon as I know when I'll be there and what all I'm getting into. Also, please have your gear installed in your ride. Don't need anyone showing up trying to do a full install on-site.
Please post if you are interested, I'm happy to come down and help but if I don't have enough interest, I'd rather not haul a bunch of gear around with me all day.

I just tuned mine not too long ago, but I think that everyone who actually has a CB should come to the tech session so we can get some legit communications on the trail! Post Up! As usual Im always up for assisting.

Ok guys, I'm leaving the house about noon, is anyone planning on coming out for CB tuning? I've got stuff to do in Roanoke before heading down to B-Burg so I'm not sure what time I'll actually make it to town. What's everyone planning this evening?

My extra cable and union didn't show up friday so my ant isn't back on yet and my rig isn't mobile atm so I'm out for tuning my radios but I'll watch if anyone else will be there.

Big thanks to Terry for coming all the way to Tech and showing us a thing or two about CB tuning. As I suspected, everyone's CB is jacked up worse than a football bat.
