Hey guys! I'm a junior in CPE from Waxhaw, NC (near Charlotte), and I just transferred to VT last semester. I drive a 1997 Subaru Outback that's been in my family since it drove off the lot (218k miles and still going strong!) I love driving it in the snow, but I've never really done any offroading in it. It's mostly stock, but I've had the struts replaced recently to get rid of the 21 year old droop, just dropped some beefier tires on it (Yokohama Geolandars) and I'm looking to get some stiffer springs put in as well.
I'm new here and I know my car isn't super capable offroad so if you guys know of any areas that might not kill my subie, let me know! Otherwise, I'm down for ride alongs and just hanging out

Nice! With a short spacer lift you wouldn't have any issues running Mountain Lake.

Yeah was about to say there have been a couple Subi's that have gone with us in the past. That, or the plethora of forest service roads in Montgomery and Giles will give you places to explore.
We do a lot of hanging out too, so you'll fit right in

Do you know what thickness other people have had success with? I'm seeing everything from 0.5" to 1.25" but I'm not sure at what height I might run into linkage/brake line issues if any.
