Does anyone know of a good/inexpensive shop in the area that does suspension work? I'm planning on replacing the original springs on my subie with some King springs to get a bit more clearance.

Compressing springs is the one thing I don't really want to try myself

I could do it for you. I work cheap and have coil spring compressors.

I am unfamiliar with the suspension in those Subarus however if its a strut mounted spring or anything like that, most shops will compress the spring and put it on the strut for you if you take it off the car for a couple bucks. If not you could purchase a spring compressor, not one of the shitty ones from harbor freight. I have seen couple people use these before with good results https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-MacPherso ... 1074452980. Much quicker and safer than the 2 post ones we all hate. Buying that will prob be cheaper than taking it to a shop and you will be able to add another too to your collection.

I know its ghetto but I have used this method on my tacoma before. The thread below is a little more subaru specific.

I agree, using the floor jack method works really well, and costs nothing if you already have a floor jack. If you didnt want to do that, most shops in the bburg/cburg area should have a spring compressor and shouldnt charge very much labor to do it.
