Andrew and Grubb got me inside the YFA (I think) on Andrew's Jeep Sunday on the trail. Did some looking and found this with some basic info. Thought I'd start sharing it here as we learn what to do with them.

Good info in those links, I’ll get the numbers off it today but I also think it is a YFA. I did some looking and Comp makes a few cams for the 2.3, smallest being their High Energy 201/201@.050, .400 lift, 110 Lsa, 800-4800 operating range. I think we need to get the carb and ignition sorted first though.

The biggest issue I see is how much it spills over when you pitch it up. I think dropping the float a little more might help but you'll need to check and see how close it is to spec. Don't want to get it so low it starts impeding fuel flow.

But I think it helped a lot the other day. Much less smoke and loading up.

Thats a good looking little carb, if the Carter doesn’t pan out it might be worth a try.

I briefly looked for some numbers on the carb but couldn’t see anything meaningful. After looking again I’m 99% sure its YFA. Andrew will be down Tuesday and we’ll start working on the jeeps then, might drop the float a little more if we get a chance.

it did run better, I think he would still get the biggest benefit from a cam swap now
