hey, just scored some ZJ front coils for my XJ on e-bay, wondering what kind of shocks you'd suggest that wont break the bank, but will keep the nose above the rear in a hard stop (having trouble w/ that now) jeep guys, help me out here....

not a heep guy, but i'd recommend Bilstein 5100's or 5150's. For dirt cheap, a set of Doetsch Tech shocks aren't half bad either, but the Bil's are tits.

no offence, but @ $136 a pop for the bilstiens, i think the doetsch tech are a little more in my current price range at $32..... any other suggestions out there?

Bilstein's are $75 a shock, I don't know where you're getting $136 a piece.

I ran stock, Rusty's, and Bilsteins on my old XJ. I'm with Clay, Billy's are the hot ticket.

you won't be disappointed. i was running rancho's and the truck handled like shite. swtiched to Bil's and a lot less body roll, and it would actually take washboards at speed without shaking the truck to pieces.

i would've said "the nose goes down like me on prom night" but that could be interpretted as "foul" by some...
