I may be in need of some help very soon to haul a truck ('81 yota) from McCoy to Price's Fork (not far).... as soon as I get to look at the thing in daylight and strike up a deal. What sort of help is available, and what'll it cost me?

hahaha! thanks for the laugh guys. Peter, what did you have in mind for pulling the truck? I don't have a flat tow setup or dolly.

Here's the thing with it... It has some substantial rust (holes I think) right at the rear leaf hangers. That's why it hasn't been driven in over a year. I'm going to have to see it in the daylight to decide if I should attempt any sort of flat or dolly tow. It may end up requiring a trailer. I'm interested in your guys' opinions on how bad the frame rust would be before you wouldn't even pull the truck from mccoy to price's fork going 30mph.

steinburglers got a dolly, and im sure preston has any kind of trailer you want to use.

IMO ... if you wouldnt drive it at 30 mph, you sure as hell shouldnt flat tow it at 30 mph ... wouldnt do a dolly either ... if it isnt driveable, it needs to be trailered IMO

tow dolly is available if you decide you want to go that route. i might be able to find some time this weekend to pull it for you as well, but I could get the tow dolly to you anytime this week.

hey man i got your message i;m sorry i haven;t gotten back to you, I;m horrible at returning class I should be able to help you out. Does it run at all like can it get on the trailer under its own power?

He said it was running a year ago... but his son drained all the gas to put in his car. If I take a few gallons of gas, a battery, jumper cables, and starter fluid... it should start up.

I say dolly it and if it falls apart its not your problem its the people behind you that have to worry about it.
