Bourban Driver Rig

Here's so all you guys/gals know who drives the whale:
1985 GMC Suburban
Stock 350 (250,000 miles)
Stock 700R4 Tranny
Stock NP 208 TC
4 inch Tuff Country HD Front lift w/ ORD Shackles and dropped pitman
ORD Shackle Flip and 0-rate add a leaf rear
35 inch MT Claws on MT Classics
ORD Swaybar disconnect
Defender roof rack (for canoes and surfboards)
In the works (in a week or two)
Detroit Locked SF 14 bolt rear (4.88 gears)
Detroit Tru-Track in the stock 10 bolt front (4.88 gears)
Blazenoffroad bumpers
MM Hydraulic Winch (Front)
Rust fixed
Primary use: Backcountry exploration while loaded with geotechnical gear/beach cruising wave-hunting in the OBX

I was thinking about buying one of those, but got stuck with the XJ instead. Nice to see a Burban around.

It's a great truck -- I have my ear to the ground for a K5 to build up next as a play toy. This thing is my DD so I can't thrash it too much...I generally do anyway.

That little place is called Toole's Creek down near Brumley Gap in the Abingdon area. Pretty nasty little trail. Not very tecnical, but lots of mud and slop.

check out Peter's Addition thread under the rigs forum. I think I might have been emailing you about a build two weeks ago.
Seriously over sized, funny, mounting the winch and other work, I have hit my head on the stinger and Peter flat out ran into it at least once, but gotta build to customer specs.

there's only so many times you can run head-first into a giant steel structure hanging off the front of your OWN rig before people start to think you might be a moran...
