Yikes sorry to hear. Same thing happened to my TJ with the NV3550. It was fine...until it wasn't. It blew up on the top of Flagpole trail in Harrisionburg, VA with the same exact symptoms. It cracked the input shaft housing on the way out too.

Recovery efforts

I think we headed up around 3:15. After getting unstuck went back up to the lodge, then was back on 460 by 5:30. So I'm in P4 right now trying to replace my pinion seal. Problem is I don't have an impact gun and can't get the stupid thing off. With a 2ft breaker bar the pinion just rotates a little. Anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get this thing off?
