they worth a darn for an 8.25? i want a locker but i can get this for $50.00 wha-da-ya think?

ary said something a while back about shimming the shit outta the clutch packs and leaving the additive out and that it would act like a decent locker, dunno ask him.

my 9.25 used to have the trash-loc. pretty worthless IMO.

Good if they're already in there, not worth installing.

The trick w/ the additive is that if you leave it out it acts almost like a locker, but as soon as you put it back in, it goes back to being a worthless POS. I used this trick for a trip to Uwharrie once. I changed my diff fluid just before the trip, and then added the friction modifier before we hit the road to come home. Worked great all weekend, and was back to normal on the way home.
