Trail ridin' this summer

Post by Flava-Puff Crawler »

I am new to your forum but not new to the Blacksburg area. I am wondering if anyone from your organization is in town this summer and is planning on going off roading around the Bburg area? I am interested in going trail riding with you, if so.

Also, I am getting ready to swap out my Dana 35c in my Wrangler with a Dana 44. Any recommendations or advice on do's and don'ts would be greatly appreciated.

Sheila,

I am not sure if Brett checks this forum or not, but he is a local and he seems to get out a good bit on the weekends. When I get a chance I will shoot him an email and send him this way. Also if you would like to join our listserv, just let me know and I will have your email added to it. Alot of times short notice runs are made on that, and sometimes gets more attention than the forum.

Once again welcome aboard.

Get yourself a Dana 44 from the rear of an XJ. That should be almost a direct swap in for your Dana 35C.

Welcome to the board

Yeah, I would like to be added to the listserve. Thanks for the info on the Dana 44. I have called a lot of the local junkyards but with no luck of finding a D44. Any recommendations on where else to look? Also, I am going to do a SOA as well, again any advice on what problems I should look out for and try to avoid? Know any good welders in the area?

I'm living in Dublin now, about 25 minutes from b'burg. I would go riding, but can't until I take the time to fix all of the clearance issues I have with my steering and front panhard bar.

I assume you have checked with Agee's, Bill's and D&M for an axle?

I have a friend that has an XJ dana 44 for sale. I'm in Newport News though. If your interested let me know. I'll be coming out that way in August to move into my place and we could arrange something if you can wait that long.

And if ya can't wait that long, I have several friends (in the club) in Richmond that could bring it down over the summer. Wilferd, can you add her name to the listserv? Thanks man.

Flava Puff, did you get a conformation email saying that were added to the listserv? If not I will call Adam and find out if he saw this or not.
