Ditch the high lift off the hood. Those things arent bullet proof/will rust and be useless (the two little pins must be kept greased) and you will probably dent your hood one day/that things clean and would be ashamed to dent it, not wheeling.

But definately welcome to the site.

My vacuum was not engaging, no 4 wheel drive. I would just spin going up the hill. The boys tried valiantly to rig up a vacuum connection to no avail. I'm getting a new shaft put in by Randy and that will get me in 4 wheel drive. Eventually I'd like to throw in some new stronger axles with disk brakes on the rear. Even though I had no 4 wheel drive I still enjoyed myself.

glad you liked it. i put a post in trail rides section about the posi lock system, you might consider it? i dunno if its something youd do or not. i considered using one on my cherokee but i dont have the disco type axle.

The 4 wheel drive is now working. The ring was sticky, went in and knocked it over. I called the previous owner and he mentioned it happened to him in the past. Easy fix, with The RandMan at the controls.
