VA vehicle inspections- parking brakes

a parking break has to hold the vehicle at a stop when the tranny is in gear ... most places wont let that pass, i would guess.

I agree. My jeep did not have a working parking break for 5 years and I passed inspection every year. This was in Northern Virginia and my first 2 years in blacksburg. SO, I suppose it is where you take it and how anal they are feeling that day.
