Anyone recommend a good book on....

learning GPS, Navigation, Plotting and so forth? I've been interested in it for years. I've decided that I'm going to buy a GPS sometime (like everything else....

) and wanted to have an idea about what to get/know. I was looking a few books online and wondering if anyone here has/knows of a good book on it. Something that doesn't read like text book or require an advanced cartography degree would be nice also....

I would imagine there's probably a ton of that sort of information available on the web for free. Then again, ever since I discovered the internet, I don't read books much anymore. So maybe people do still write those antiquated things

I don't have a lap top and its nice to take something to read to the bathroom.....

Dude, you're missing out!! Laptop with wireless is the only way to go these days

I could probably set you up with one for pretty cheap, my brother gets the older models from work(he's an IT guy at a bank) all the time. Not gonna be lightning fast for gaming or anything but for browsing the web in the throne room should be plenty. Shoot me a PM if you want me to find out if he's got any available.
