The history, I bought the truck 2 years ago and it had 145k on it. I had been looking for months for a clean 6spd short bed. It is almost imposible to find! I am pretty familiar with the 7.3L because my father who is an aircraft mechanic loves these engines and has one of his own. I bought the truck and have been DDing it for the past 2 years. In that time I have added a 4inch turbo back MPRB exhaust and a southbend clutch. I installed the clutch 4000 miles ago. It was a 700 dollar clutch that included a new flywheel, pressure plate, throw out bearing, updated clutch fork, and kevlar pilot bushing. Brakes where done 20k ago.
The truck runs great, always starts even when 10 degrees out and not pluged in. I put most of the miles on this truck commuting between Mt. Airy, MD and Blacksburg, VA where my girlfriend goes to Vet school. 600 miles round trip adds up fast. truck now has 196k. I would drive this truck anywhere. I loved making the long haul up 81, just set the cruise on 68mph and get 19mpg all day long. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles which is over kill but I planned on keeping this thing a long time. I have always run shell rotell T in this truck. The only thing this truck will need soon is tires.
