carb
it is a 1.08 but I cant get it to work or run right. I have fooled with this thing until i'm ready to throw it in the trash "put my carter back on". I have changed the vacuum several ways but still want idle right or rev up. It backfires through the exhaust when Idling back down. I have changed the timing and everything I can think of !!!
YEah
That's the right carb!
1.08 MC 2100/2150
46/47 jets
8.5-10.5 Power Valve (they do not give you the right ones in the kits)
They are dead simple too.
Sounds like you have a vacuum leak.
Try the carb cleaner trick thingy. Spray carb cleaner on various spots where a leak could be (around the base maybe). You can tell if you hit a vacuum leak because the engine will change the way it runs (idles smooths out, etc.).
I also wouldn't mind taking a look at it. I run MCs on all my Jeeps. They are great carburetors, and really aren't hard to get running right.
I can also probably hook you up with another 1.08 for cheap if that one does have something majorly wrong with it.
