Machine shop and driveshaft work in Blacksburg area

Post by 95greenrio »

I need to have a flywheel resurfaced and a driveshaft shortened and balanced in the next week or two. Is there any places in the Blacksburg/Christiansburg area that y'all recommend?

Thanks

Call Baldwin performance. I don't know if he'll do the shaft, but he charged me ~$50 to mill my head flat plus they do great work. They are a first rate shop.

I had a shaft re-tubed and balanced at Fleetpride in Roanoke, VA and was very happy. I often work just down the street from them so I could help with drop-off and pick-up.

Thanks guys, I'll be giving Baldwin Performance a call. The shaft is a Jeep Cherokee front and its going to become a Wrangler rear. I might end up just taking the shaft to Roanoke, thats where I'll be swapping transmissions anyway.

Thanks again.
