89 Bronco For Parts(clean title), 8.8, FI 5.0, AOD,

Post by shift1313 »

Hey guys, i hate for this to be my second post but it was the main reason i joined the forum. I bought this 89 bronco xlt for parts for my 85. Im taking the interior, doors, tailgate and windshield. I had plans to cut the rest of it up but if someone can use it I can leave it in tact. I was going to take some fiberglass molds off some of the body for my project but i dont need to.

Here is what it has.

Running fuel injected 5.0 with apx 160k

AOD tranny, the truck sat parked for a few years in park with no ebrake, if you part on a hill with the tranny in P it slips. It drives fine, for what its worth.

BW13-45 Tcase, this is a guess because i havent crawled under it yet, but it has push button 4x4 and i dont think they put NP208s with eshift 4x4.

8.8rear with rabs and axle code H9(best i can tell, its been painted) so it should have LS 3.55. because this is a rear abs axle the cross pin is the large 7/8 dia.

Dana 44 TTB front end(which is usually of no use unless you want a high speed baja truck with under 36s ;))

Dual shock front end.

bumpers, grill, front fenders, hood, fibeglass top, and dash are all in good shape. body has been cut already at the rear wheel opening, floor is done for. Frame isnt great but i have seen worse. This truck came from chi town and had a plow on it at one time.

Ive got very little in the truck so im not looking for much. I was told the thing had about 1500 put into it a few years back. Entire ac system was redone, new compressor, lines, condensor etc. It starts fine but has a new starter in the box in it, also has a new belt. The brakes were gone through a few years back(very little miles) so some lines are new, calipers rotors etc. Exhaust was new a few years back as well.

I havent pulled the doors/tailgate or glass yet because i didnt want to leave the dash and wiring exposed since it still starts:)

here are some pics.

I live in Blacksburg just down harding. I can take any pictures you like or you are more then welcome to come by and check it out. The interior is out of it but it does still start and run(hard to see over the dash though).

If someone wants to take the entire thing minus the parts i mentioned taking id like $500obo. I would prefer it goes as one piece but if i have to start parting it out i will. It would make a good base for a trail truck but you would need to fab up a floor at the least

sorry man. Yesterday someone told me they would take the whole thing off my hands. He is going to build some sort of shorty dump bed and put a plow on the front! The rotors on the thing werent the best shape either. I might be able to ask around for you though. people on the bronco forums are doing solid axle swaps all the time and the ttb hubs im sure dont see much action after that.
