The Big Event

Would any of you all be interested in volunteering for the big event? I think it might be a good community out-reach deally for us, besides of course the trash clean ups.

Dear Organization President,

I am a member of The Big Eventâ€™s Student Involvement Committee. I will be your organizationâ€™s contact person and would like to personally invite your group to participate in The Big Event this year on April 18, 2009.

If you are not familiar with the event, The Big Event is a day of service where Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff complete service projects in the New River Valley to thank the community for their support throughout the year. The jobs typically last between 3 and 4 hours and range from painting to yard work to trash pickup. Last year over 3,500 students volunteered, and this year we are hoping for even more. More information and on-line signup can be found at www.sga.vt.edu/bigevent.

Signup will be open from February 1st until April 3rd, so form your team now! If you would like to arrange for me or another member of the committee to come speak at one of your organizationâ€™s meetings, we are more than willing to do that as well. yea he called me about that, I'm not sure wtf happened, hes listed as pres, and you as vice pres, im just listed as an officer, so I don't know what happened.

Alright, I made a team for SC4WDA. I just put myself for the contact.

In order to add volunteers, I need your first + last name, and T-shirt size. (goes from small to like XXL).
