Modern Automotive (540-382-8808)in C'Burg does good work. If you don't mind driving out to Floyd, Protocol Auto (540-745-6045) is highly recommended. Just tell Joey that someone from the Car Club sent you.

Thank ya. Don't mind driving to Floyd, but the Suburban's front end shimmy is getting worse and she's now pretty much limited to ~35mph top speed before it feels like it is going to jump off of the road. I'm thinking C'Burg at the furthest.

Thanks for the leads.

Everything tight? Balljoints good? Alignment won't help much if you have worn out parts.

That's where the "front end" part comes into play. I need someone else to do it. I've got a motorcycle in pieces in my garage with my floor jack holding the engine under the frame while I decide what to do. So both from a tools and a sanity standpoint, I can't work on anything else right now. Plus, the HOA would poop their pants if I took one more thing apart in the driveway. They already hate us, I'm not trying to force the issue.

The Accord on the other hand just needs an alignment.

Gotcha. Well if you need some work done, there is a guy on the CCVT forum that used to work for South Main Auto that is trying to start his own business. He has done some work for a few guys in the car club without any complaint so far and is cheap. PM me if you want his name and number (he lives in C'Burg near Radford further down Radford Road past my shop).
