Jeep wont start
My jeep is curently at brians house and wont start. If i turn the switch all my lights come on, but I'm not getting power to the starter. Does anyone have any ideas where i might be losing the power. I'm going over to brians after class tomarrow around one, if anyone has any ideas or is willing to help trouble shoot, let me know or stop by.

I don't trust those "testers" at any auto parts store. I've personally had some alternator and starter issues that those "testers" should have caught, but they didn't. So don't always trust them or the knuckleheads operating them.not the solenoid...tested it at AAP :o
I'd hook up a multimeter for yourself and find out if the starter solenoid is bad. If that's not it make sure all your wires at the starter are still hooked up, it might be a loose wire or bad ground somewhere. Lastly, and hope to all that is sacred this isn't it, but it could be your ignition switch. Like I said, in all likelyhood this isn't the problem but it could be.
So I'd check the solenoid and then check your wires.
I feel like a hundred bucks...
Could be a fuse or it could be a starter relay. Check the following terminals on the relay for:
30 - Battery - Check for 12V -
If not check for a bad fuse or battery connection
85 - Ground - Check continuity to the negative battery terminal -
If not check for bad grounds
86 - Signal - Check for 12V when keyed to start. -
If not check ignition switch or fuses
87 - Accessory - Check for continuity to starter solenoid. -
If not bad wiring between relay and starter
If all this test good the relay could be bad or its the starter.

thanks for all the ideas, think i got it narrowed down to the starter relay. I was able to turn the switch, disconect the wire from the starter relay and touch it to the battery terminal. It started right up. I ordered a new relay from advanced and it should be here by four. I hope it solves the problem, it cost 56 bucks for a little box! For now i'll just pretend like I have the latest in anti-theft devises

I had/have the same problem every once in a while, dont know if you have an auto, but on my aw4 its a common problem for the nss to get dirty and causes your symptoms: everything electrical works but the starter wont even click. If it is the nss all you gotta do is clean it.
