tools and space to work

I need to put a new alternator on my truck and have only the most basic tools. Anyone willing to let me use some space to work along with tools to do the job. I will bring a big hot pizza with me for compensation. Preferably this Friday after 3pm.

It shouldn't be too hard to do. The guys did one at my forums last meet on the trail at uwharrie national forest lol

Anyone? It's just an alternator, nothing that will take to long. I'm flexible as to when. I can also compensate with

I got some tools you can use, but nowhere special, just a parking lot. You're more than welcome to use my tools though.

if you can list the tools you need, and know what you're doing, I could probably help you out. I don't mean to sound like a dick, but I've been screwed alot lately "helping" folks who just wanted me to do the work. That being said, I have no problem with you using my tools and driveway

That sounds good Trow, all I really need is various common sockets with a ratchet. I would not throw any of the work on you, I can do an alternator myself quite easily i just need the tools and space, and a driveway is fine. Do you have a battery charger? My battery is currently dead and putting a new alternator on a dead battery will cause problems from what I've heard, if not I'll just buy my own. Thank you very much! When will work best for you and can you PM me where you live?

i wont be around friday afternoon but you can come use the driveway....we got a cj and 4ruuner a mini truck and another 4 runner all gunning for garage space. if someone is here they can show you my tools. call me @ 443 271 8003.

If you really need a garage (ie rain) grab someone else's sockets and you can come here (2.5 car garage, Maple Ridge).

PM me if you need/want that. I left my tools at home, so I literally have just my small toolbox with sporadic sockets and wrenches...

there's a good chance that the contacts in your existing alternator are just full of mud and can be removed and cleaned.

Got it done last night, thanks everyone(specifically Hippie for the space and tools). I've tried cleaning the brushes and wire connections and it didn't help so I was fairly sure it was the alternator.
