so apparently my winch likes to work just fine unless i'm in a situation that I really need it. Hooked the positive cable back up this morning, hit the remote and it cut the jeep off like it did at potts. Unhooked the wire from the starter relay to the battery, hooked it back up, and the jeep started up without a problem. Next i hooked up just the relay wire and winch power cable, winch worked. Strapped the jeep to a tree and winch worked fine under load. I currently have a fan switch, CB, and dixie horns hooked up to the battery. I reconnected each of these one at a time and the winch had no problem pulling under load. Backed the jeep down to the bottom of the driveway and pulled it all the way up with the winch............i just don't get it.
Trow, I swear electrical work and electrical systems are the devil's handywork. Those shits can be so kooky.
