98' Sahara Steering Box Compatabilities

Post by tsouth07 »

My steering box has had a leak for quite sometime and have noticed a fair amount of play in this. I figure it's about time for replacing. I was wondering if say a Cherokee for instance or other Jeep models would work in my 98 Sahara. I appreciate the help!!!

When the steering box went out on my '00 TJ I replaced it with one out of a Durango. Cost was on par, the box is slightly larger, supposed to be more heavy duty, and it is a direct bolt-on replacement. Was an easy swap and steering feels more solid.

Sounds like the Durango box is the way to go. Wouldnt happen to recall the year on that Durango by chance??? Thanks Slinkey
