Yeah I found the dipshit's (Al Thompson) facebook page and befriended him by telling him I wanted to POR15 my 98. That was a riot when I posted his facebook page on Pirate. It had his cell number and everything on there. Before I could get his address on campus he took it off the VT site.

Well I tried a 241C from an early 90's K5 Blazer...drops on the wrong side, so didn't buy that one. Can't seem to find another that the person wants less than $350 for (and I'm not paying anywhere near that). No one's got one laying around?

Ahem....
jac6695 wrote:The only difference I am aware of between 241c is drivers or passenger drop (front output). The one out of a 90 Blazer is probably worth more then that (key component in a GM Poor Mans' Doubler lol), but is pass drop. You need drivers drop.

Edit: Is your Sub a 3/4 or 1/2 ton? That is another difference. You need to make sure you get a 27 spline from a TH700R4/4L60E or a 32 spline from TH400/4L80E whichever you have.
How about this one:

or see of this guy will sell his for cheap:

I assume you are home (not here in Blacksburg)? If you are here, do a search on car-part.com. Old Dominion in Roanoke has 3 for $145/each. Bills has a couple for 200/each but will bargain a bit if they have had them for a while and you suggest that Old Dominion has 3 for less. Cunningham Bros. in Rustburg has a couple w/high miles for 130 and I know they will ship parts. Have you tried Pirate/Fullsize Chevy/GM Fullsize/CK5?

Have you taken yours apart to see what broke?

Thanks for the help guys...yeah I'm in Suffolk; I graduated and bought some land (44acres, muddy, and where I was when I broke the truck in the first place) which I'm now trying to build on (myself), while transitioning into a position of more responsibility at work, all the while bouncing back and forth between my parents house and my fiancee's parents house. The Suburban is in a buddy's driveway who lives 20 minutes from my parents/40 minutes from work...so I've got so many pots in the fire that I don't know what to do. I check the local (Hampton Roads) craigslist from my cell phone at work everyday and thats as far as I've looked. I'll check the forums and see whats out there and I'm planning on hitting the local junkyards Sat. Might break it apart if I get a free hour or two this weekend...

Thanks again.

I appreciate it. I'm going to try that guy again...best I've got going so far. Worked on a dump truck today, tomorrow working on an F250 and looking at a few other ones with [for] a friend. Maybe next weekend I'll actually get to look at my truck.

Bought one off of a 1994 Suburban that a guy rolled Friday. Pulled it myself in the guys yard along with his front driveshaft (his front output was about 5 inches to a flange...my front output was just a yoke, but I figure the front driveshaft length overall is the same, so I got his shaft too.) I'll put it back in there one of these afternoons and see how she does...
