Anyone have a running (or close) 351 or 460 laying around?

Parts, vehicles, fab and mechanic work, etc.

If its a 351, I just need the short block...if 460, I'm gonna need everything you have and then some.

Prefer EFI, but I can work with anything for the right price. Going in a late 80's F250. If 460, I can offer for trade a supposedly rebuilt 351W, headers, complete from motor mounts to intake with a brand new starter. Only problem is that I couldn't get it to turn over using a 3' pipe on a 3/4" drive breaker bar, but its probably something minor

Sounds like someone didn't check the bearing clearances...

Somebody drove through a puddle that was way too deep is my guess...paid little enough for it that I just assumed I needed a motor, but hoped I just needed a starter like the guy said. Turns out my assumption was dead on. I'm going to put her on a weekly diet of Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders. Worked on an old boat motor I had, might work here. In the meanwhile, I'm hoping I trip over a wrecked 4x4 460 EFI truck for $500, (with a 5spd of course...)
