Yeah but don't get him to make anything. I got him to make me some shock hoops and it seemed like he didn't want anything to do with me. I am not impressed with the quality of work either.

If you are going to use it as the center of the receiver, you can go to Tractor Supply Co and get one premade with the ring around the end to keep it from splitting.

Ok great. Let me know how much you want for it. Shoot me a text/call to let me know where to meet you. Thanks!

I was going to do that, but first, that is usually expensive and second, for what I am doing it will be a receiver as a secondary purpose and only for a >3500 pound trailer. I am going to use this box to go into the receiver of my work truck (2500/3500 GM trucks come standard with 2.5" receivers), and have a 42"-ish by 6'-ish hitch rack on it that will tilt up sort of tight to the tailgate.

Like this:

With a larger version of this on it:

I want to use the 2.5" instead of 2" and the 2"x2.5" bushing that came with the truck to avoid having too much "slop" with the rack. I think it would move around too much and be very noisy.
