Picking up my $300 dana 60 tomorrow I also decided to sell my front airshocks, looks like I'll be going with some 14" FOA coilovers. Hopefully I'll have some actual real updates tomorrow night.

It turns out the truck I went to look at was really just a 1978 F350 body on an early 70s frame with a closed knuckle front axle so needless to say I didn't get my 60. But anyway the trip wasn't wasted because I was able to go by and pick up my three link brackets and stick of 1.5 x .25 DOM for my tie rod, drag link, and track bar. I also got a big old cooler off an old wrecked truck we have to use as a power steering fluid cooler.
It turns out my dads letting me put my jeep in the back corner of the main shop instead of the crappy tractor shed for this week, so I should have a roller by the weekend.
I also got all the TJ brackets off my front axle and cut/ grinded everything off my frame.
Now the axle is in place and my new steering box is bolted in place. I'm currently sitting at a 106" wheelbase. It looks tall as shit right now but the body will be lowered 3 inches and ride height for the axle will be atleast 2 inches higher up.

I plan on having a roller by this weekend at the latest. Then I can work on all of the stupid little things i have to do. Should be ordering some FOAs tomorrow so they will take a couple weeks to get here. I need to figure out the freaking 3 link calculator, otherwise I'm ready top make my links. Do you think it matters if i run my panhard bar on the backside of my axle instead of the front, I don't see how it can make much difference.

Just a heads up, FOA is slammed right now and they're backed up. Read about it on Pirate in Gen 4x4.dodgeguy119 wrote:I plan on having a roller by this weekend at the latest. I got all of my link mounts mocked up and either welded or tacked on. My lower links are 44" and my upper link is about 38". It looks like I'm going to be able to get this pretty low with plenty of clearance around my motor mounts and radiator. The hardest thing is going to be getting my track to clear my diff cover with the steering box right in the way. Tomorrow it should be a roller, and so I don't have to wait on a new set of shocks to get here i decided to just make a new set of shock towers for the front so I can use my 16" air shocks and get my desired ride height/ up travel. I've also got to do some tuning to my rear spring pack so I can lower the height of the rear atleast about 3 or 4 inches.

Got some more work done today. Now my links are all finished and I have my track bar mounts tacked and the tie rod mocked up. I think I can move the frame mount on my track bar forward about a 1/2" and that will allow me a couple more inches of up travel. Would have gotten a lot more done but I had to waste six hours taking our new well rig to the dealer for a recall.

What kind of FOAs are you going to get? If your trying to get some 16"x2.5" body c/os, and cant afford to wait, I can give you mine and whenever yours come in, just give them to me.
Mine are just their "medium" valving in compression and rebound. 1.5" mounting width and dual rate kits. no springs.
