Diesel tachometer

I just found out about this thing and I'm considering using this as a tach for my samurai/VW swap... just thought it might interest some of you (they make versions for gas engines too).

Another option is to have a "W" wire included in your alternator and use a tach adapter from Dakota Digital www.dakotadigital.com

this is what I'm using on my diesel FJ80 project - works great!
