Hey I managed to locate a 14bolt not rusted to shit. It was actually harder than I imagined given how common these axles are.
Plus it came with a carrier and axle shafts, so Will is off the hook since he stole my other carrier and now I got some spare shafts.
Plan on spending lots o money over break, ordering the remaining parts I need, and getting alot of wrenching done early in the spring before school catches up with me like it did this semester. Still trying to wheel again before I graduate. We shall see....

Yay! No more drum brakes.
Anyone know where I can find the snap ring that holds the outer wheel bearing in place? I haven't seen it on 4wdfactory or east coast gear supplies web site, and my yukon rebuild kit did not come with replacements. And I ruined the original C&C snap rings trying to get them out. And my wheels gunna fall off if I don't put the snap ring back in. I was hoping for a solution other than the parts store cause they have really been screwing up my parts recently...

FWIW Zach Vaughn at AtoZ tried to sell me a set way back in the day. He runs them I believe and likes them. The reason they're cheap is because they don't last nearly as long as the nicer seats. Functionally they're fine, but don't expect to leave them exposed to sunlight for any length of time and have them last more than 3-4 years.
Also, you might try calling Tim @ www.liquidironindustries.com He can get just about anything and if you tell him I sent you he'll either hook you up or bend you over

I posted up for a quote from Tim already. I may run them despite longevity issues, the price savings will make up for the difference between ballistics steering arms and the more expensive artec ones I really want.
Ary you should get Tim crackin on the 2161a plumbing kit he told me he would have done weeks ago. Although with KOH around the corner his shop is prob a little busy right now.

He sells fuel cell kits with the walbro pick ups, necessary adapters to get -6 line, submersible line, etc. Problem is my bastard cell with an aluminum pick up tube. What do you guys think about the artec steering arms? There on the order of about 170 bucks more than the single sheer ballistic arms, and I'm already running out of coin. I was just thinking that for my needs/goals, steering arms are a big ONE time purchase. Might be worth springing the extra money now and have the "best" arms that won't ever need any modifications (unless I decide to run aftermarket knuckles one day but that's not really applicable to my rig at all)

I just don't think people are having that many problems with regular arms on even hardcore buggies. Your CJ should be more than fine.
If you start shearing off steering arms, I think you'll have bigger problems.
That's just my non-D60 owning opinion.
Then again, you've seen how I wheel on "weak ass little Toyota steering arms" and haven't had a single failure.

I agree. If the pricing were closer, I'd say go for it, because it'd be neat, but at that price its definitely not worth it. Not to mention you also have chevy knuckles, which are inherently stronger than fords. Most people get by just fine with single sheers.
That said you also probably wont be able to take full advantage of the double sheer capability of the Artecs with your leaf springs. I really don't see you sheering all 4 studs in the knuckle or breaking the knuckle itself. If you do, it will likely be a fluke. If you start having rod-end problems, which i doubt, you can always make ballistic arms double sheer.
