The Buzzard: 84 K5 *SOLD*
1984 K5.
Bought it broke, bad motor, with a 2" Rancho lift (AAL front/blocks rear):
It came with turkey!
Scored Boggers for an unbelievable deal:
Put Boggers on stock wheels and sold the Yota wheels they came on cause they wouldn't clear the front brakes:
Put a motor in it: (bad cam choice and intake is for the Camaro), swapped in 3.42 geared 10b/12b from 79GMC. Added a lock right in the front:
Stripped and lined what's left of the interior and trimmed it in black:
Don't laugh at the red loom. My brother picked it up while he was in town for me and let's face it, tact is not what this thing is about:
Flexed it:
Wheeled it at Grubb's place where I mashed in both doors and one mirror and overheated my power steering system to the point of non-operative:
Put a mini-spool in the 12b and dug up our yard playing:
video: http://s140.photobucket.com/albums/r37/ ... CN6131.mp4
Added Transmission and Power Steering coolers:
One cooler tube:
The return:
Grubb helped me build a rear bumper:
Sat on my lazy butt for a few months till I needed to haul it to our new house and then wheeled it at Pott's with you guys!

Its definitely a cool rig. I appreciate the ride last weekend at potts...it gave me more confidence in being able to get the bronco through. I would have been really worried about that last really narrow section if I hadn't seen your rig go through it already.
now...just to be able to get to that part of the trail...hmmmmm....

I was trying to twist out the stump but my lever was not long enough. After digging it out with a tractor (70hp Kubota) I realized I probably didn't have enough truck either.Big Rick wrote:What were you trying to do there? lol @ "look at my yard!"TerryD wrote:So... no comments on the video?
If you listen close you can hear my oldest shout "Daddy!" In a concerned manner just before Julie.
