Where to buy from?

Post by Matt612 »

I'm getting ready to order some spring perches and link mounts I was trying to get some advice on who to order from. I don't want to have to wait on it. From experience who do yall recommend. Ruff Stuff or Ballistic are about the only 2 I'm familiar with. I have heard a lot of good and bad on pirate.

I will always recommend RuffStuff through and through. They are incredible. I got all my leaf spring stuff from them way back when I did spring over on my rig.

Ballistic is really hit or miss. If you get any of the guys on the right day, your order may be awesome. If you get any of them at the wrong time, expect major problems/delays. Sometimes if you go up the ladder on them it will get resolved quickly, other times it does you no good. I have had mostly positive experiences with them. A few times I have had orders screwed up and it eventually got figured out, just not always timely.

You might also look into DIY4X. They are a little smaller but still pretty good guys. I ordered some random stuff from them at one point and was happy with the results. They've got spring perches, tabs etc. As far as link stuff, its much easier to get the full brackets instead of just tabs, so I would still recommend RuffStuff.

Edit: Just went back and saw that you said you don't want to have to wait. Your best bet is RS in that case.

Yeah I'm trying to have it done over Christmas break so I'm hoping if I order everything in within the next couple days it will be there by the time I get home. You think that's possible?

Yeah. Whenever I order from RuffStuff it seems to show up within a week. They keep most everything they offer in stock, especially common items like those.

Nick might tell you t-shirts are a little harder to come by.

I also go my stuff from RuffStuff, so x2

That said, I have seen some pretty good deals on the Barnes Site and it is in NC, says he will ship same day or the shipping is free or something like that. Saw them on Pirate as a vendor.

RuffStuff hands down. I think just about every builder part on my rig is from Dan over at RuffStuff. I hope Ballistic burns to the ground. With a few choice employees still inside.

And yea, RuffStuff will hold your order until it's all ready. So if you order shackle hangers, spring perches, spring hangers, and a t shirt, make sure they have shirts in stock before planning your weekend around setting up your leaf springs.

TMR Customs is also a good place. I am placing an order with them this week because they have some other things I want that RuffStuff does not offer. When I bought my bender from them the service was great, I am expecting the same for this order. I'm also hoping they replace my 1.75 die that Alec broke and then repaired crooked ass catawombus as fuck.

Steel prices have shot up stupendously in the last year. Ballistic is wavering and probably are cutting profit on item in an effort to stay afloat.
