Mine is mounted super close and always has been, less than a half inch. The trans and center of tcase don't move much, the front output of the tcase however, moves quite a bit

Sounds like I may be ok. Mine is mounted with poly bushings at the frame so it should be pretty rigid. If it hits I will just clearance the bar some.

Nick's is the same. His isn't actually "hard mounted" entirely. Just to the tube that spans the frame

Just some picture of the weekend's work:

B-pillar tubing. My notch work leaves much to be desired but it's getting better.

My cage is pretty much done. I have half a dozen gussets to put in and B to C pillar bracing that will also be my rear coilover mounts, to do, but those are going to be later on down the road. I'm pleased with how it came out, especially because I had some rather complicated 2 and 3 plane bends. My notch work is are horrendous but for my first attempt at a cage, I'm content with the final product.

It really wasn't bad. I was expecting it to be much more difficult than it really was.

I've been working late every night. It might be running by Sunday night. I need to replace the water pump, machine my collector flanges, make and hookup an O2 sensor port in the exhaust, wire in a few resistors, install my K&N when it comes in, plumb my fuel system, finish making and running my battery cables, install and plumb my tranny cooler, finish draining and refilling the tranny, install the serpentine belt, and hookup and fill the radiator. Then I can turn the key and start troubleshooting why it doesn't run :flipoff2:
