Good auto shops around Blacksburg?
My XJ needs some work done (in the realm of 'pretty much stopped working entirely'). Which shops in or around Blacksburg would you guys recommend towing to?
Thanks
Thanks

What needs repairing? Do you know? As far as shops the Campus Automotive up north main street seems to be really nice and fair.

Campus Auto is great, they are trying pretty hard to make a name for themselves so they do a lot of stuff for cheap/free in exchange for an online review.

Thanks for the feedback! I have been trying to diagnose it for a few months but to no avail.

What is wrong though? Does it not run? not move? catches fire when you look at it wrong?

Engine won't fire. Turns over fine, coil and plugs spark normally, and it will run as long as there is starting fluid to burn. It just doesn't seem to be getting the fuel it needs.

Fuel pump is fine. I don't know how much fuel to expect from the injectors, but they seem to put out a little fuel and then stop. Computer issue?

CPS is fine. Which fuse?
Fuel pressure is fine.
Little more background - I was driving on I-81 when it happened. Was trying to accelerate up a hill, engine started to hiccough, then vehicle lost all power. No life from it since then.

As far as I know, I do have sufficient spark and fuel. Whether or not the injectors are supplying the fuel properly is rather suspect. I do have proper pressure at the rail, but the engine just turns over and will not fire.

not that it particularly matters, but 4.0? 2.5? ax15 or aw4?

Mine has been giving me a similar issue...seems like a cylinder or two are dropping out under load. Changed most of the spark stuff out and started digging into the fuel side yesterday. I had used some fuel cleaner treatment and that cleared it up until I went mudding last weekend. Wouldn't start at all today and I'm thinking it's an electrical issue now. I've already had one connector melt on me... Any luck on yours?
