Flyer Drive-by Recruiting

Post by BadAssEddie »

When is everyone available to take a couple hours and cruise the parking lots around town to flyer windshields?

Does anyone know where last year's flyer template is? I think Stables did it last year?

I think if we did Friday afternoon, we could give enough time for prospects to set aside Sunday evening (tentative first meeting), but not too long for them to forget.

Available Friday afternoon:
1. Alec (free from 2pm on)
1969 Cadillac Deville 7.7 Big Block
1978 Ford F-150 6.4 FE
1993 Ford Bronco 5.8 Windsor
1994 Ford F-250 7.3 Powerstroke
2016 Ford F-250 6.7 Powerstroke

(I did the fliers last year, printed them out at least. I was writing this post as you wrote yours, so I am just copying what I had said. Sorry for the overlap)

Working on getting fliers put together for this year. I'll need some input from the everyone on a few things. Need to nail down some meeting dates and info to include on the flier. Also, I am printing them out as well.

Meetings:
Every other Sunday at 7pm in the corner of the Comm Lot.
When would we like to start meetings? 9/8 or 9/15?

Fliers:
1/4 Sheet of 8.5 x 11 Paper
Name and Logo
Forum Address
Meeting dates, times, and where we meet. (I'll try and include a map on the back)
Small summary of background information and who we are.

Business cards:
Coming up with some simple cards to hand out after talking with a person. Little reassurance that they'll remember who we are.

I'd like to get the fliers made ASAP, any input would be really helpful.

Lastly when they are all printed, who'd be interested in putting them on Jeeps, trucks, etc? We could do a divide and conquer type deal as well.

I'd like to shoot for a first meeting this Sunday.

Everything else sounds good. If you want to just alter the dates on the old flyers, that would be fine. Anything else you want to do would be great as far as I'm concerned. Feel free to take artistic license with it. As long as people know who we are, where we meet, and what we do, and it's not pink or JeepForum sponsored, I'm game.

Do you think you would be able to get a few hundred printed out by Friday afternoon?

There might be a JF watermark on the back of the fliers, maybe a *little* bit of WJ on there too.

I can print out as many as we need, I've got a big machine in my room. I figure I can make about 300 in 15 minutes. So it'll be fine.

I can't find whatever I did last year, I am working on a new one. I just need some dates to finalize it whenever can hammer those out.

I'll post a preview before I run them all off as well.

Looks legit.

Set the fist meeting date for Sept 1. They can come to the next one if they cant make this Sunday. Maybe put the dates of the first 3 meetings on there for assurance.
