I've come across some info on two newer offroad parks:
Chaos Offroad Park in Capon Bridge, WV just about 20 min west of Big Dogs/Gore, Va
http://chaosoffroad.com/park/
Park entrance: 39.325783,-78.463951
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/usa-sout ... er-va.html
They have just started having public wheeling weekends in the past few months from what I can find, that and they've been cutting new trails and trying to expand.
Durhamtown Tellico in Murphy, NC a good ride down 81 near the old Tellico.

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/usa-sout ... ico-3.html
They have a lot of trails, lots of mild-intermediate. It looks like they're working on expanding offerings for hardcore.
Durhamtown may be an interesting option to get a lot of the milder/dd vehicles out for a weekend trip. Its a shame most of us never got to see the old Tellico but this place may have some potential.
If anyone has read more about these places post up.

I also came across a section of OHV park that Hatfield McCoy opened last year. It is only 2.5 hours from Blacksburg near Charleston, WV. The trail system is called Ivy Branch.

Guess you have to wear a helmet even in Jeep lol.
Place looks to have some potential.
$50 per year pass for non WV residents..

I've also come across one local to NOVA, Red Cloud Offroad in Woodbridge, VA.

It seems they have open rides many weekends and you just need to pre-register. The place seems to be more stock-friendly than anything. It's literally right off I-95.Red Cloud offers 200 acres of wooded trails, creek crossings, hills, and mud holes for 4WD vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

Gulches Offroad is in Waterloo, SC and is 4.5 hours away. Smaller park but could be a great place to get some stock rigs out also!
For those that didn't see on FB, here's a link to a ton of wheeling destinations by state: http://www.partcatalog.com/blog/2014-to ... n-america/

Re: Newish Offroad Parks
I second that. If its only 2.5 hours away and only $50 for a year pass, I can afford it.InvertChaos wrote:Good stuff. Hatfield McCoy has potential for some club trips.
