Viper remote Start issue

So i had a viper 5706 installed and it worked flawlessly until today when it said the hood pin with open... I didn't install a hood pin, after looking up ways and solutions I can't figure it out. The lock and unlock work and i believe the dball2 works because it lock/unlocks despite it not actually lighting up or anything. One suggestion was to get a bit writer and change the code to allow the engine to run and start despite the hood pin. anyone have a bit writer or know someone who does, my friend in michigan has one but I won't be there till october 10 and I want this fixed now!
