Update on the ton swap, everything finally came together and my truck didn't explode on the trip down to Tech. It was running a little rough and starting making weird vibrations around 80 mph and will go away when i let off the gas. It wasn't too bad and probably is nothing but I was paranoid that it was going to blow up. The idler pully looked like it had some rubber on it from the belt so im thinking its that. Its also been idling rough and there is a lot of lifter noise. I ran some sea foam through it and blew a ton of shit out and seems to run a little better. When I get the chance i wasn't to clean out the intake better. Annnnnnnywaaaayyyyyys... The rear is in and looks great, ill need to replace my rear leafs because, well they are shot. I want to stick with the half ton springs because I don't plan on hauling anything. I ended up doing the disk brakes like ya'll said to do and it turned out pretty well. I had to weld the lugs in on one side because they were a little loose.

I havent posted anything really about my fence post bumper yet so I figured id add a little on here about it. I needed a new bumper after i played chicken with a tree and i had been wanting an offroad bumper for a while and i had a lot of steel laying around so i figured why not make one. I dont really have any pictures of when i first started fabbing it up but basically i just made some brackets out of some 1/4" steel plate that bolted on the frame with some 3/16" square tubing that would be the front supports. I drilled and tapped holes so i could bolt on the steel plate thats on the front now. And foe the tube on the top, it is literally a fence post we pulled out of the ground when we first moved onto our property. Its nice and thick and didnt have that much rustand has been working pretty well actually. On that bar i made some supports that onnected the ends of it to the frame for more ssupport against a blow. I also added a bull bar on the top with some.120 wall dom. I used my yee ole harbor freight tube bender which basically just folded it in a crease. Buttttt it works. It gets the job done. Im kind of impressed that the harbor freight poppy pipe bender was able to kink DOM that badly.

Looks just like kevins bumper as well aka its black and only looks good from 50 feet

Thanks, I still need to swap out the timing chain on it and some other little stuff. My truck is super sluggish right now just because of the 3.55 gears. I can't even brake loose on gravel without completely pitching it sideways. One of these days id like to slap a leveling kit on the front. Along with tons and a little trimming i should be able to fit 37"s.

Here are the pictures from the front Dana 60 swap!! Didn't go too bad. I found a lot of things that needed replacing like my control arms. The front Dana 44 was fucked. I'll fix it up the best I can but I don"t really expect to get more than 350 for it. Ill try to sell my rear Chrysler 9.25 for maybe 100 bucks but if I cant sell it I might just sell the axle shafts and cut the axle tubes off and make a thicc ass rear bumper out of them. Anyways, here are some pics



Craigslist apparently doesn't want anymore dana 44s or Chrysler 9.25s, ended up selling the front axle to Andrew in the club for $50, at least hell get more use out of it than the wrecking yerd. (if y'all haunt figured it out yet Ive been going though my posts and fixing all the broke images and retying some stupid things I have said that dont make sense)(basically if you dont realize that, Im from the future and know how things will turn out)

I Made an Excel Sheet for the cost of the axle swap and all said and done I should have only spent a little over $1000 which I don't think is tht bad considering taking my truck to the shop would have costed $1600 for their bullshit regear.

Over spring break instead of getting shit faced every day I made me a transmission skid plate, my old one was destroyed and it defiantly needed something a little more than ribbed 3/16" steel.

I need to tie it into my transfer case skid better but when its all said and done i think it'll work pretty well.

I haven't posted anything in a while but since its right before the big dogs trip I thought I would try to catch up on everything since last post. Since my skid plate, I (Wong the Chinese overlord who currently owns my soul) have re geared my rear Dana 70 to 5.13 gears, clearanced my fenders, and threw on some 37"s on my old rims.

I didn't think I would have 37"s for a while but after running 3k at 72 MPH on the interstate I negotiated with my new master about using his 37" BFG KM2's in the mean time while I acquire the funds to pay him back. After Wednesday I should only owe the Chinese overlord $250 worth of my soul.
Anyways, because lifts are stupid, I had to cut a little bit out of my fender to clear the 37"s. It ended up tuning out pretty well. The only problem is at full lock when I turn left it rubs my upper control arm. After adjusting the steering it shouldn't be a problem. Other than this it rides great on the road but Im not sure how it will perform off-road because it will probably rub a lot when it gets stuffed. Only one way to find out tho! Without further adu here are some more pictures to look at.

In the near future I'll be adding a leveling kit to the front for a little extra clearance. I'll try to keep this a little more updated!
