Veterans Healing Farm Work Day

Post by tacobandit »

Hey guys, I have been talking with some of the board members from Veterans Healing Farm and they said that they would be interested in doing a work day with us in April. I was hoping to see what weekend may work best for everyone interested between wheeling and work/school. Their mission is to help veterans learn gardening and agriculture techniques that ultimately help themselves and the surrounding community while returning to civilian life. It seems like an awesome opportunity for us to give back and help out a good cause. They are located in North Carolina, South of Asheville. They also told me that they ave plenty of room for us to set up camp for the weekend. Let me know if you are interested or if you have any questions.

That would be awesome! Any weekends that you are busy/free in April? We're going to be talking about it more at this Sunday's meeting. I hope you can make it out again if you aren't to busy with the Super Bowl Festivities!

Hey guys I am working with Veterans Healing farm to make sure everything is ready to go for April 20-22. They are asking for a head count and if you could let me know if you are planning on coming it would really help us out. I figure we could go down the 20 (Friday) and camp that evening, then help out the following day with whatever projects they are working on (Saturday).
