i think i;m going to go with the MM hydro winch, 12k and constant pull plus it adds 2 extra quarts of PS fluid that will help with keeping the steering cool.

careful with the hydro, cause your engine has to be running in order to run the pump. say you suck water into your intake, or otherwise can't start the engine, you'll be dead in the water.
another vote for a 10k electric... and another vote for the "rule of thumb"... twice your curb weight is good if you're planning on really using the winch.

just attach a crank and a spool of twine to the front of your truck if you dont feel like spending any money

I thought about that clay, but if my engine isn;t running i have bigger problems that getting out, not to mention unless you have a second battery just for the winch i figure you only have about 4-5 mins of winch time with an electric winch anyways.

Yea I forgot about the Tmax whes, they are new and pretty pimp. I think Wilfong has sold them when he worked at 4x4 connection. They are Australian so they gotta stand up to abuse. Thier school buses have winches, bull bars and snorkels so they know about wheeling.
