We made some space up at the garage for the Bronco. Now we can really get going on this thing.

Image

We are gonna try and stretch it a bit and keep it as low as possible with some 35s or my old 36s if I can get a deal on something bigger for mine.

I like the look of this (33s)

Pretty excited about eventually getting dad on the trail.

Thanks for looking.

hahaha, I wish. Dad hasn't gotten his kit yet.

My main goal right now is to get the stock axles and tranny/xcase out from under it. I know where there are a couple 79 F250 that we are hoping to get the HP44 and 60 out of and start the process of getting them under it.

Dad needs to develop a "budget" so I can start finding suspension parts options for him.

I will post up pics as they are taken.

I cut the rear springs and hangers off:

I am thinking about using some of the spring sliders from Liquid Iron Industries http://liquidironindustries.com/Liquid- ... featured=Y in place of the original swing shackle method. Any thoughts, should help keep it low.

I'm a big fan of Liquid Iron's slider boxes, I think it's a pretty trick design. Glad to see you're making progress on this!

I'd never seen those before. That is a beautifully simple and useful design. I'd run them.

My MIL was in town for the weekend to give my wife and I a break from taking care of the baby, she is a great woman.

I spent some time tucking the passenger side rocker and rear corner, it was rotten anyway.

here is some reference of what it was.

I suspect I picked up about 5-6" of body clearance and a straight shot back to the frame for rocker guards.

Lol, I know exactly what you mean.

Just don't think about it. Just keep plugging away and next thing you know you're done :flipoff2:

I rolled a full-width 9" under it moved back to a position I like to determine how much to open up the rear wheel openings.

Image

Looks pretty good, probable about 3-4" back of stock.
