Almost there!!!!!!!!! got alot done tonight, just have alot of small stuff to take care of tomorrow night, a few more hours and it should be done. sits pretty nose down right now but some preload and charge will help that out, and the coilovers have plenty of clearances for the full range of motions.

somehow managed to get these hug ass reservoirs under the hood (still need to be properly mounted)

fabbed up a pretty nice little engine hoop, got lucky and didnt have to make any form of a joint in the middle to clear the motor.
Overall im very happy with the way it has turned out, we will have to see how it drives now and even more important how it does on the trails and rock gardens.

Well the coilovers are freaking awesome did great on the trails, they performed much better than the old coils and shocks. unfortunately i only got to wheel for about 3 hours before my rear trust got twisted and caused the driveshaft to bind. luckily i was able to shorten my upper arms which allowed me to drive home. Still was a great weekend though and coilovers are sweet, im gonna straighten and strengthen that truss up and hopefully the next trip i wont have anymore problems. Then ill really be able to test them

Now that the coilovers are done and working well time for the next project, swapping in a Dana 300!!! Thanks for selling it to me Charles.

Tore it down to replaced all the bearings and clean some of the gears off.

First I have to flip it over and move the sifter rails to what is now the top. To do this im going to build a spacer to go between the oil pan and case to run the rails through. Looks like this now:

Im also gonna have to make a block off of the back that will contain the detente springs and balls that will hold the rails position.
For people that will ask why would I do this?
3 inches shorter that 231 = longer drive shaft
Twin stick = why? cause its badass and everything should have a twin stick
stronger - would i break a 231 - most likely not but who cares a 300 is so much more badass
other questions that could be asked
4:1 gears are to expensive so I will keep the 2.6-7 gears in it now.

Glad I had it to sell. It needed to be used anyway, cool stuff like a D300 can't just sit and waste away.
Good luck getting it set up, looks like you are well on your way.

Unfortunately not, its the same 3 speed they put in the YJ the A999 or 32rh. So this will most likely be the end of highway driving for the jeep which is fine now that i got a truck.
