another junk yard question (big truck parts needed)

Post by hklvette »

Anyone know of any junkyards that carry semis (18 wheeler cabs), dump trucks and the like? I'm looking for parts to go in a BIG truck and the regular boneyards don't carry what i need. Thanks.

That is Robert young's towing and recovery. If you need a cab or something like that try JC sales in Montvale

In a nutshell, I need an overdrive box that can be used in a 24k GVW truck. The OD box either needs to bolt to the back of an NP540, or come with an engine and transmission. An alternative is to get a different R&P for the truck in question, but it would seem that Dana Eaton/ Rockwell gears are hard to come by at any price. Something in the range of 4:1-5:1 should work.

Disclaimer: These parts are NOT for an off-road vehicle. They are for a very large tow-rig.

Edit: After more searching, I might be able to get a R&P for the axle, but I need to find out which Dana Eaton axle it is.
