Built 1980 Jeep CJ5

Time for my project Jeep to go to a new home. Built with care to handle most any trail, this Jeep has been to Uwharri, Tellico, and Moab. Body has a few rock bites, but no rust issues. Garage kept. Engine has less than 10,000 mi since complete rebuild. 258 Cu in Six, bored .060 over, block decked and head milled to achieve 10:1 compression ratio. Now 266 Cu in. Clifford Performance Stage 2 build, includes: high torque (264 deg) cam, lifters, pushrods, springs, etc., high flow manifold, and Jet Hot 6 into 1 header. High flow turbo CAT, Flowmaster muffler. Weber 38 DGES - 360 cfm 2 bbl carb. K&N filter Jacobs high energy ignition, Blue printed recurved distributor, silicone wires. It's a stump puller that meets NC emission standards! Uses a Mean Green hi torque starter to crank. Drive train improvements also include, Performance Gear T-18 4 speed Transmission with Granny low, original Dana 300 Transfer case, McLeod HD Clutch and pressure plate. Custom front drive shaft and CV rear drive shaft both by Tom Wood while he worked at Six States Distributors. Solid Rear Axle shafts in the original Dana 20 case, with 4.10 gears and ARB air locker. Front axle is narrowed Dana 44 with 4.10 gears and ARB air locker. ARB compressor with tire inflation kit. Front hubs are Warn heavy duty with Grade 5 bolts. Suspension is Black Diamond 3 inch lift with easy ride springs. M.O.R.E. front shackle reverse with buggy springs add about another 1 inch of lift. Custom Rear shackle to match. 1 inch body lift allows clearance for 35X12.50 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires on 15X10 American racing steel wheels. Body reinforced by "Off your Rocker Panels" Steel diamond plate rear corner protectors and Rocker panel protectors. It has long travel Pre-Runner shocks and steering damper. Power steering has external oil cooler added. Flaming River steering shaft for positive control. Engine runs cool all day on the trails. Interior includes Tuffy lock boxe s in the back and center council, new Best Top high back seats, and original rear seat. Bikini top for summer and Hard top and doors for winter. Body has a little twist from some extreme rock work so Hard Top does not fit tight. Well Over 10K invested on many other extra goodies, but I don't have time to use any longer, and I need the space in my shop, so it is a great opportunity for someone to enjoy. Great machine. Note: Winch not included in price.

price: $5500
