I need shocks!

Post by Arya Ebrahimi »

Need some shocks for the rear of the 'yota. Can't afford the 5100 Billy's I want right now, so I need something to get me by in the mean time.

Anyone have any old 10-12" travel shocks laying around they want to get rid of for cheap?? I hate to go buy new cheap shocks just to take them off in a few months.

Thanks!

Mike, CC's are TAPPED, longfields were more important than rear shocks with 38s and that killed the last remaining CC. It is looking like I will make Uwharrie though

Miller, where are said shocks? Uwharrie is this weekend and I don't have mounts welded up or anything yet, so it's not just a bolt in and go affair.

I'll buy some cheapo rancho's from advance if I have to, but would rather not waste the money.

I'll be there either way. Got the longfields installed tonight and hopefully can get the rest of the stuff checked off the list before Friday.

I know I don't "need" them, but just driving the block and a half from Derek's to Adam's I just about bottom out the suspension 'cause my leafs are so soft. That's a solid 5" of bounce and I'd like to think shocks would help with that at least a little

I have a set of rancho's laying on my shop floor.

I will measure the travel tonight. I could bring them with me when I come to Uwharrie.

But like everyone said....shocks are overrated...

Pansie, I drove from Blacksburg to Culpeper w/o shocks. Same rear springs.

Being a pansy has nothing to do with it. :flipoff2: I drove my XJ around for 2 weeks with 8" of lift and no shocks. No shocks on coils is a lot worse than leafs. I just would rather have them.

Anyway, I've got a few leads, so hopefully one of them will pan out.

mine are 9" travel

Rancho 5116's if you want to look them up

they are by no means in good condition, but they are a lot better than nothing.

If you want them, that's fine, if not they might go on the zuk.
