Hey guys my name's adam and I am a sophomore at Radford Univ.

I drive a 2000 Camaro SS with some stuff done like intake, shifter, switching to 4.10 gears etc.

However, over the summer I had a project car turn out pretty good so I decided to bring that up to college instead of the SS.

It is a 1990 Suzuki Samurai that started out completely stock.

From this:

To this:

• Custom Bump-stops
• OEM leaf reversal with added leaves
• TT missing links
• Jeep CJ rear leaves
• Taller TT shackles
• Poly-urethane bushings
• Custom Spring perches
• F-250 Front shock mounts
• Pro-Comp long travel shock absorbers
• Geo Tracker/Samurai hybrid rear end.
• 5.12 r/p gears front and rear
• Driveshaft spacers
• Extended brake lines
• 33x12.50x15 BFG Mud-Terrain tires
- Mercedes Crossover steering system

I have only wheeled it back where I'm from (va beach) mostly in mud and I'm ready to put it through what I built it for.

Some of my friends go to bobcat trail and a few others, but not as frequently as I'd like.

Let me know who's interested in going on some trails in the near future.

There is a trail ride on bobcat this sunday if you would like to come. We're meeting at Hardees on Prices Fork in blacksburg at 12:30 and running bobcat with another club. Give me a call if you plan on coming so we'll wait up for you. 757-561-3631

That sounds fun as shit, but I'm going to be out of town from friday to sometime sunday. Depending on when I get back I might give you a call and see if yall have left yet.

stinson:
Thank man, it's definitely come along considering I've had it since only last May. I almost started a motor swap over the summer; found a mint suzuki sidekick with a low miles 16valve that would swap in perfectly, but I had to leave for college. Maybe a rear locker will go in over christmas break.

What is Harlow? I might be down if it's not too far.

I don't know much about the side kick, but if I were you I would put a toy drive train in that thing. Can't wait to see this thing on the trail.

This build is pretty extreme but its a good read....

I just watched a youtbe video of some of the trails there. That looks rediculous. Way too agressive for me to take a daily driven samurai haha. Looks like the most fun you can have with your pants on.

Most obstacles have a bypass. There are trails that are more mild there as well. There will be plenty guys in the club less built than you. A locker in the rear and that sami will go everywhere. Plus those little zuks can drive right between things a wider rig would be forced to go over.

Oh yea, I've read all about that build on pirate4x4. Those setups are basically indestructable. I would love to eventually turn this into a full-out trail rig and do toy axles and a VW tdi but since it's my college daily driver it's gotta stay streetable. Actually I'm going to be driving it 5 hours just to get back home.

Back home, I have the Samurai expert probably of the east coast living 15 minutes away. He hooked me up with some pretty good parts to get it lifted. He's actually running a samurai on 35'' boggers powered by a 16valve mated to a SAAB 9000 turbo/manifold. They can be pretty good powerplants and weigh probably 30 more lbs than my current 1.3L

Welcome to Sinking Creek! I live in Radford too and try to hit Bobcat when I'm not overrun with school/life... If you don't take the sami to Harlan, you should try to get a passenger seat with someone, its something every wheeler should experience at least once.

That's sick about the stock sami goin through it. I'd definitely be down for a passenger spot, those trails looked amazing.

What do you drive TerryD? I might have seen you around radford.

Thanks,

How far away is Harlan from us?

The samurai does pretty decent so far, but I really need a locker for the more agressive trails.
