Dodge 24valve tuners??
I dont know a thing about tuners for dodges, my brother has an 01 with a auto. Where should he start looking for tuners? When I talked to him he said something about Banks, and I know that is last one I would use on a powerstroke. What have you all had good luck with.

Have heard plenty of bad things about Banks stuff, mostly about being way to expensive for what they give you.
FWIW I have a small Quadzilla box on mine, that is updateable via the internet with different tunes and settings. Mine specifically has a off, power, and economy setting. ~100hp gain, unsure on torque.
The new hot box out there is the Quadzilla Adrenaline. I think its a 180hp/~300lbft box, and has gauges built in/included in a little electronic pod thing.

true, the most important thing with 24Vs is proper/sufficient fuel pressure because the injection pump is lubricated by the fuel itself, as opposed to the 12V trucks where the injection pump was lubricated by motor oil. Once you have a decent fuel system, you wont have to worry about replacing an injection pump that costs upwards of $1K. A fuel pressure gauge is VERY important to have. Generally you want at least 10psi of fuel pressure at WOT.
I have an Airdog 150gph system waiting to go on my truck when my current injection pump dies(pretty much inevitable at this point) because of low fuel pressure caused by the crappy lift pumps Dodge decided to use. I will be installing this system and a new injection pump at the same time, so hopefully I wont ever have to change another one.
Airdog and FASS are the two most popular systems. Airdog systems with the external fuel filter and water seperator run about $500 and have a lifetime warranty, and FASS is about the same equipment wise, but a little more expensive($700 or so).

Id just go ahead and get the 150. if he ever does what to get a real tranny and start getting some mo powa itd save him from having to get another one. the 150 is good to around 500hp.
or he can get the one without the filters and stuff, just the fuel pump itself. still has either a 100 or 150gph capacity

Goerend is probably at the top of the Dodge auto transmission food chain. Some people also used Suncoast, and ATS too.

The MOST important part before you ever think about putting any type of tuner on that truck is GAUGES,, boost, pryo, Fuel pressure and tranny temp. Atlest pyro fuel pressure and tranny temp for the auto. That should always be the first step in any diesel truck mod. Then I would recommend a smarty and then some sort of timing box, quadzilla, edge, etc. Also when upgrading.. always go bigger than you think you will need, because once your start moding a diesel it is addicting. you will want more power and you will surpass the limits of what you thought would be plenty, (ask me how i know)

I will echo what Preston said.
GAUGES should be the first mod to any diesel. With the 24V I would install a fuel pressure gauge first.
I had installed gauges in my 02 and it was completely stock. Knowing that the lift pump is good is a very relaxing feeling. First time I towed before I had gauges every bump in the road I thought was the lift pump going.
I never put anything on my 02 before I sold it, but I was going to add a edge ez box since it is mild and mine was an auto.
Without tranny mods I would definitely be conservative on the mods.
I am dropping my 06 off on Friday to have a real tranny built for it so I can play and tow with it with confidence. Especially with the edge box I have on it.
So, first I would do gauges, then maybe a small box, intake and exhaust. Once you have added tranny upgrades, then you can go for the big stuff.
