What spline/shaft size is it for? Compatible with any gearset?

yeah i don't think there is any gearset limitations. It is for a 31 spline i believe. I had it installed in 99 f-150 pickup with no problems.

There are no carrier breaks for the 8.8", so any carrier/locker/whatever will work with any ratio. However, lunchbox lockers such as the lock-rite are different for going into open or limited-slip carriers.
