the good
- rebuilt engine and lifetime warranty on a number of parts -starter,ignition wires, power steering pump, vacuum pump ,etc
- lunati cam
- bored .040 over
- transmission has got two shift kits a lock up converter kit and a B&M shift kit
-both engine and trans have 40k miles
- second transmission pan and gasket
- spare transfer case

the bad
- the transmission had a problem and wouldnt shift says my uncle but seems fine now ?
- it used to have a manual trans but was converted to auto and has some wiring issues in the starting system.
- needs new battery

Im looking to start a build thread as I work on this over the summer and do a solid axle swap once I get some finances in order. And figure out what axles I want to use. Any tips on axles or how to do this would be appreciated.

As far as axles go it depends on whether you want to go full width or not. I'm pretty sure your transfer case is drivers drop so if you want to keep it narrow then I would swap in a Dana 30 out of a YJ, and they can be gotten for almost free sometimes. If you do the 30 front then I would go with an 8.8 for the rear out of an explorer so you get the rear discs, 31 spline axles, and a big ring gear.

A transmission can only have one shift kit in it. There are other mods that can be performed to go along with that though. Which transmission does it have?
